Acting for Video Games
The video game market rivals Hollywood in terms of size, scale, and popularity. It demands a very unique and specific set of skills from actors. Dive deep and uncover the world of physicality in the mo-cap format, voice work, and auditioning for video games in this brand new workshop, designed to immerse and equip actors in this rapidly growing industry.
Join AAS Artistic Director, Susanna Fournier, and award-winning actor, Jon McLaren (Star-lord in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy game), in this dynamic workshop focusing on the unique aspects of preparing and executing a competitive video game audition. Participants will learn the differences between standard screen and game performance, insider tips from Jon, as well as perform a game audition receiving direct feedback on their work from Jon and Susanna.

Auditioning participants will have the opportunity to PERFORM THEIR WORK.
These actors must apply with a headshot, resume, and must have previous on-screen experience and/or acting training (theatre school, on-screen or AAS training). Admission is at the discretion of the Artistic Director.

Cost: $115+HST
​
Auditing participants will not perform, but will benefit from all the theory, Q and A period and observing the auditioning actors.
No previous experience required for auditors.
Cost: $85+HST
