Inside Out Film Festival

Inside Out is a non-profit organization that exists to challenge attitudes and change lives through the exhibition, promotion and production of Canadian and international LGBTQ cinema by and for those within our communities.

In addition to the flagship film festival in Toronto, ongoing initiatives include an intergenerational mentorship program, free access to LGBTQ media resources through an Online Platform, an annual youth forum, a touring program and the world's first LGBTQ finance forum to support emerging filmmakers.

Black Youth Helpline
The Black Youth Helpline (BYH) is a not-for-profit, registered charitable organization governed by a Board of Directors. The organization serves ALL youth and specifically responds to the need for a Black youth specific service, resourced to promote access to culturally appropriate support for youth, families, schools, and other youth serving institutions.

AFC

Through compassionate support, AFC help Canadian entertainment professionals maintain their health, dignity and ability to work.

FILM + SUBMIT

​

AAS will be accepting self tapes in two age categories: 9-17 & 18+, that will be adjudicated by our guest panel of working industry professionals.

​

Submissions will be accepted Friday, July 10 thru Friday, July 31.

​

No hate speech, nudity, or explicit sexual content should be present in the tape.

​

Applicant should film a self tape that is a single scene, max 3 mins long, reflective of their playable age range and roles they are likely to be seen for, sourced from content that has aired/been widely released. Material cannot be coached. A downloadable link can then be sent via Wetransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive to office@armstrongactingstudios.com

Your tape should be filmed within the following parameters:

​

• Framing should be appropriate for medium; Top of your head to mid chest, medium close up

​​​

• Film in landscape, not portrait

​​

• File name should contain your full name, age range you are applying for, and the project and role of your scene e.g. Jane Doe - 9-17 - OddSquad - Little O.mp4

• Please include CONTENT WARNING in your file name if applicable.

All submissions will be shared publicly on social media.
