Dean Armstrong

Studio Founder and Director, Dean is an actor, on-set and pre-production coach with over 20 years launching and developing international stars.

Salvatore Antonio

AAS Artistic Director and Advanced-level Instructor, Salvatore Antonio graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada (where he also taught Acting for Camera). In addition to his 20+ year acting career, he is also an award-winning published and produced writer.

Lara Jean Chorostecki

Canadian Screen Award nominee Lara Jean Chorostecki is an actress and coach with over 15 years of experience in the industry. Known for her versatility and craft, her career has explored nearly every genre both in front of the camera and on stage. She is a graduate of the Birmingham Conservatory (Stratford) and holds a Masters in Classical Acting.

Farah Merani

Farah Merani is a Muslim actor, filmmaker, educator, and advocate currently based in LA and Toronto. She is a graduate of the Drama Centre London and has performed in Canada and the US, throughout Europe and in Russia. Some of her TV and film credits include: Shadowhunters, Nikita, Lost Girl, Covert Affairs, Private Eyes and the upcoming feature film, Eat Wheaties!, featuring Tony Hale. In addition to being an actor, she has produced dozens of films with her company, Lifeguard Productions, co-founded a non-profit called Women on Screen, and serves as a diversity and inclusion consultant for film and tv with her former co-chair of the ACTRA Toronto Diversity Committee.

Michelle Alexander is an actor and writer – she has 10+ years of experience in front of the camera as well as in theatre and has been recognized internationally for her writing. She splits her time between Toronto and Los Angeles.

Brittany Allen is a Daytime Emmy Award winning actress known for her versatility on camera. She has nearly 20 years experience of working in film and television in front of the camera, as well as behind the scenes as a writer.

Allegra Fulton is an actor and director whose credits include the Academy Award Winning film The Shape of Water, The Good Doctor, and Chapelwaite.

Robbie Kay 

Robbie Kay has worked in film & television for over 15 years, starting at a young age in Prague. He has experience with every theatrical medium in a wide range of environments, having shot in England, USA, Canada, Italy, Greece, Czechia and Belgium to name a few. Projects like Pirates of the Caribbean, Once Upon a Time and Heroes Reborn round out an impressive resumé. Robbie has worked one to one with many reputable actors in the industry from ages 16 to 65, frequently resulting in bookings. He has the ability to elevate any performance and unlock material, identifying exactly what work needs to be done.

Amos Crawley

Amos Crawley has been a professional actor since he was 4 years old. He has over 150 film, television, radio and theatre credits. He has been an instructor at Armstrong since 2010, where he has taught several age groups and levels.

Sarah Gnocato

Sarah is the Director of Youth Division and Head Youth Coach at AAS. She is an instructor that specializes in working with our young actors at the studio. Besides being a working actor, Sarah is sought after major industry productions as an on set coach. An alumni of Second City and AAS, she brings her infectious energy and experience to every class.

Steven McCarthy

Steven McCarthy is an acclaimed actor, theatre director, filmmaker, and musician. He holds two diplomas from Montreal's prestigious National Theatre School of Canada. In 2015 his first short film was named to TIFF's top ten films of the year.

Laura Nordin

Laura holds a BFA in Acting from the University of British Columbia and her MFA from the esteemed American Repertory Theatre at Harvard University and the Moscow Art Theatre School. She is a co-founder of Filmcoop, a not-for-profit mentorship program for professional filmmakers in Toronto.

Jenny Pudavick

 is a Resident Coach and Instructor for film and television at Armstrong Acting Studios. Combing the technical understanding of the script, making bold text choices and aiding the actors to access organic emotional moments.

Andrea Runge

Andrea has been working as a professional actor and teacher for over 15 years, playing leads at theatres including Stratford, Tarragon, Segal Centre, and Canadian Stage. She received an MFA from Pennsylvania State University, and a BFA from the University of Regina.

Anna Hopkins

Anna Hopkins is an actor and writer who splits her time between Los Angeles and Toronto. She studied Communication & Cultural Studies (Concordia University), Cinema & Communications (Dawson College), and Feature Screenwriting (UCLA extension). Anna has worked extensively in film and television as an actor and is starting to make her mark as a screenwriter.
