Armstrong Acting Studio offers two 13 week semesters annually from September thru December and February thru May, as well as 6 week elective programs and short intensive programs in both the spring and summer.

The framework of our fall and winter 13 week terms provide a dichotomy in focus between audition technique (6 weeks) and scene study (6 weeks).  Our 13th class has been denoted our showcase date and a basis for our final evaluations.

This term structure has been designed and implemented specifically to provide and sustain regular and consistent on-going maintenance of the actor's self-confidence, craft development, skill and tool application.   It is without question, that actors audition and work best when they are regularly engaging their art!

Today, Toronto is one of North America's leading centers for film and television production.  Each year thousands of job opportunities present themselves to actors dedicated to meeting the challenges of a highly competitive industry.

Toronto's busiest production season, largely based on climate, begins in the early months of April thru until the end of September;  six sensitive months where the actor is truly put to the test.  By virtue of this reality, Armstrong Acting Studio has acknowledged that the remaining six months of the year serves as an optimum training ground for absolute preparedness.

Although formulaic in structure, every semester at Armstrong Acting Studio provides unique learning and growth opportunities for actors.  Through the provision of instruction by a diverse faculty and industry professionals, actors will be introduced to a myriad of different teaching methods, theories and ideas that guarantee results!

We at Armstrong Acting Studio believe that not all methods work for all actors, and that there is not just one key to truth and understanding, but many;  results begin with the dedication to learn, grow and apply!

All actors at Armstrong Acting Studio are encouraged to view their training as they would going to the gym.  Our classes are not degree oriented or about completion;  they are about maintenance and regularity.

The working actor knows that success is not a destination, but it is a journey and that the training never stops!
