In this workshop, Broadway director Kristin Hanggi will take performers through the musical theater audition process. Participants will get the opportunity to perform a 32 bar audition. Then you will learn what you can do to take your audition to the next level.
But more than that, Kristin will work with performers so that they can...
- Know who you are as a performer & what the director is looking for in you
- Reframe how you look at the entire audition process
- Know how to put your best foot forward before you even open your mouth
- Know what your audition strength is
- How to pick the right song for you
- Learn to view an audition as a director does
- Overcome self-sabotaging habits in the audition process
- How to audition as your authentic self
By the end of this evening, performers will refine their audition and will walk out of the workshop with a renewed confidence. This workshop will dig deeper into the real reason you chose this as a career - and how to bring that unique sparkle into the room. This is an excellent workshop for those who audition for musical theater often, as well as those looking to expand into musicals.
