3 days of 4 hours each, this Voice Intensive is for experienced adult actors (ages 19 +).
Voice Specialist, Joy Juckes, has a unique approach to Voice work, using her proven techniques of "Conditioned Relaxation" and "Intention-Driven Resonance".
Participants will:
- Learn how to attain and maintain a relaxed, confident and grounded presence
- Explore aspects of resonance and connection, with focus on "camera resonance"
- Explore aspects of character and voice: age, status, relationship and "hit"
- Explore range of emotion and chosen "state-of-being"
- Learn effective techniques for text memorization
- Develop personalized warm-up and core-strength techniques
- Learn simple, achievable dialect techniques; with focus on General American Dialect (aka Stand. N. American)
Actors come away from this course with their own process for preparing the voice, combating fear and nervousness, and allowing their unique qualities of character to ring true.
