Douglas Nyback graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan in October of 2004, since then he's worked in theatre's all across the Midwestern and eastern United States, including playing lead roles in The Odyssey and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the official Shakespearean Theatre of Maine. Upon moving to Toronto he's been involved in a CBC Radio Pilot entitled "The Hill" and appeared in the major motion picture "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl", produced by HBO, Picturehouse and Julia Roberts, starring Abigail Breslin (Oscar Nomination: Little Miss Sunshine). Douglas just wrapped a lead role in the horror feature "Breadcrumbs" in New York which just recently debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, episodes of Global TV's "The Best Years", CBC's "Being Erica" and is co-producing and slated to star in two projects based on Edgar Allen Poe poems "The Raven" and "Lenore" to be produced for the CBC, BBC Canada and A&E. Douglas is also an award winning screenwriter with one of his screenplays currently in development in New York though his production company, "Just a Border / Films".
Douglas has been a Resident Coach at the Armstrong Acting Studios for over a year and has coached clients to great success including leads on "All My Children", "Degrassi", "HBO's Lingere", "Keep Your Head Up Kid - The Don Cherry Story" and many more.
